Empower your employees as a Certified Wellness Professional

Wellness Professional is a two day certified training course directed at the worksite health practitioner who needs to care, support, and empower employees as part of a multidisciplinary team. This certification course will enable these practitioners to incorporate wellness into their service delivery and empower them to function as part of a wellness team that plans, develops, and implements worksite wellness programs. Aspects that will be covered in the Wellness Professional Training includes creating a shared vision; serving as a role model; service integration; monitoring & celebrating success.
LEARNING OUTCOMES After completion of this course, candidates should be able to:

- Understand the role of a worksite wellness professional
- Conduct a wellness assessment
- Build a business case for wellness
- Serve as a role model
- Develop a peer support network
- Provide a professional service as part of an integrated wellness team

- Reward & Recognize wellness achievements
14 Hours of continues education is planned into 2 days to save the busy professionals one day out of office. Training will start at 08:00 and finish at 17:00 each day. An extra day may be required to complete written exam.
WHO SHOULD ENROL?Health & Wellness Practitioners, Human Resource Practitioners and other members of the wellness team providing a service as part of an employee wellness programme.
PRESENTERSThe course will be presented by Dr Japie Lubbe and Mrs Tertia Putter. Both of them are recognised by the national and international wellness community as leaders in the field of worksite Wellness.
COURSE STRUCTUREThe format will predominantly consist of lectures with regular workshop opportunities, personal assignments and group discussions. The course will be presented in English.
ACCREDITATIONThis programme and certification is provided by Wellness Africa (Pty)Ltd. Skills Development levy paid, is claimable at the relevant SETA. Course is awarded 16 CPD points from the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) on successful completion of the course.
ASSESSMENTIn order to be qualified as a Certified Wellness Coordinator issued by Wellness Africa (Pty)Ltd, delegates need to successfully complete and comply with requirements through a written assignment after the training course.
